Sound Entertainment is proud to be associated with the Blue Light Canterbury initiative which sees volunteers from the NZ Police and Community working together to run Blue Light Discos, camps, early intervention programmes and more.

Blue Light aims to be the Police youth program of choice, for both police and other youth agencies, to help provide positive on-going alternatives in situations where young people are at risk of becoming offenders or victims of crime. It offers an integrated, pro-active youth service which takes a holistic approach to helping young people gain self confidence and life skills. This is achieved by organising and running a variety of supervised cultural, social, sporting and educational activities in an environment free from alcohol, drugs and violence.

1
To improve the relationship between young people, the community and the police.
2
To prevent crime and anti social behaviour
3
To assist community organisations wishing to create and deliver youth projects which relate to the aims of Blue Light.

If you would like more information about Blue Light Canterbury or your school or community is interested in hosting a Blue Light Disco, contact the coordinator: Chris Martin 03 343-6243 or chris@soundentertainment.co.nz.
